1-to-1 Mentoring
1-to-1 guidance from experienced industry professionals
Our mentoring programme offers support and guidance to young people coming through Grounded Sounds’ projects. The programme is designed to take participants to the next step in their careers by giving access to a professional network as well as insight into the music industry.
So far, over 40 young people have now been through the mentoring programme.
Our experienced mentors work on a voluntary basis and provide 1-to-1 support for 18-24 year-olds who are interested in pursuing a career in the music industry. Here’s a quote from one of our mentees:
“My mentoring sessions have been such a great experience, Bee has reassured me that I have a natural talent and that I shouldn’t doubt my abilities, as well as helping me to expand my songwriting by writing lyrics and melody without my instrument - to help me write in different styles. Every month she has given me a new challenge especially with performing live. Bee is an amazing mentor, and has taught me a lot which I’m very thankful for.”
How it works
Mentors and mentees are paired based on expertise and the mentee’s goals for their future. They work work with each other over a minimum of 3 sessions with a focus goal and outcome to achieve.
Mentors are available to young people who have completed one of our 18+ programmes as a next step in their journey with us.
